As a survivor of domestic violence, Shamika is deeply committed to advocating for individuals and families seeking safety, stability, and a path forward.

Shamika has built a long-standing and successful career as a property manager, working closely with families and individuals in low-income housing. Through her work, she has developed extensive experience supporting vulnerable populations, navigating housing systems, and helping people achieve stable living environments.

As Board Chair, Shamika is dedicated to strengthening organizational governance, advancing survivor-centered initiatives, and ensuring the organization remains focused on empowering survivors through access to safe housing, resources, and long-term support.
